Villa Orti graciously celebrates the tradition of the area, reflecting the charm of Dubrovnik over the centuries. After several years of reconstruction, Boutique Villa Orti reopened its doors in the summer of 2015, aiming to fulfill the needs and expectations of modern travelers, whilst preserving the features and heritage of the original property.
Situated in an area of special historic preservation, the painstaking reconstruction took place under the watchful supervision of the Croatian Ministry of Culture and the Conservation Department in Dubrovnik. Wherever possible, experts restored architectural and decorative elements to their original glory. Magnificent ceiling paintings, the stone and wooden staircase, iron bannisters and handrails were all miraculously brought back to life. From the original woodwork, the double doors were preserved within the entrance hall on the ground floor and upstairs. Within Villa Orti’s spacious bright interior, the intricate preserved elements – beautifully emphasized by the sophisticated Scandinavian design – create an intriguing contrast.
